A concept enunciated by Horney in which the person adopts a particular approach in an attempt to avoid conflict and find security. Nonsense Syllable: A meaningless item of three letters of which two consonants are separated by a vowel so that its sequence becomes CVC. It was developed by famous German psychologist Herman Ebbinghuns.
